Brief Bio
Currently Assistant Department Head for User Services and Education Services Coordinator, Julia has experience in academic and AHEC libraries. Julia earned a Diploma in Nursing from Watts Hospital, a BS from the Reich College of Education at Appalachian State University, and an MSLS from the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Julia's interest in education began as a continuing education instructor for AHEC and expanded as she went from clinical nursing to librarianship. Serving as Liaison to the School of Nursing offers her the opportunity to combine her nursing background and information management skills. As Education Services Coordinator, Julia supports the integration of information literacy skills throughout the entire Library community. |
