Brief Bio
With her background in plant genetics, chemistry, environmental sciences, and public policy,
K.T. brings a unique perspective to the Health Sciences Library and the School of Pharmacy that enables her to work in partnership
with a very diverse clientele. She is active in the American Society for Information Science &
Technology and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, and is a faculty member of the
Carolina Center for Genome Science. Her research interests include the information habits of scientists and clinicians, the
integration of informatics into research, teaching, and clinical practice, and the recruitment and
retention of medical librarians. K.T. held an internship at the Environmental Protection Agency RTP
Library and a fellowship at North Carolina State University Libraries before coming to the UNC Health
Sciences Library in 2003.
