Client Computer

You will need to log clients on to the computer. To do this, turn on the computer if it's not already on. At the login prompt, type in the user name and password. (Ask Julie where to find these.) Do not disclose the password to anyone not affiliated with the Center. If possible try to assist the client as much as possible with website resources. If they are comfortable on their own, continue to monitor their usage. Unauthorized usage of the Client Computer includes viewing pornography, downloading email or other programs, and on-line chatting. If someone is participating in the above activities, politely remind them that it is a public resource and for security purposes, they should refrain. If the activity continues, please ask them to discontinue using the computer. If further action is required, security may need to be notified. Go back to "Opening/Closing & Security" for more information.

Printing

Clients may print information from a resource on the web. However, be sure to monitor the client’s usage of this privilege. Excessive printing drains the center of supplies, and is often unnecessary as many resources contain duplicate information. Additional paper and supplies can be found in the closet.
