ahec digital library

A membership benefit for Friends of the Health Sciences Library is enrollment in the AHEC Digital Library at the $250 level and above.

For more information about specific titles in the AHEC Digital Library, please contact ADL-Questions@listserv.unc.edu.

Access to the AHEC Digital Library (ADL) for Friends of the Health Sciences Library represents the collective efforts of our partnership with AHEC affiliates across the state and we are pleased to be able to offer this valuable resource as a Friends membership benefit. All resources in the digital library are carefully selected by health sciences librarians and healthcare professionals to reflect some of the most valuable and reliable resources available. The AHEC Digital Library is designed to be the first choice online health library for all North Carolina healthcare professionals.

The AHEC Digital Library enables Friends to access a core set of full-text journals, books and electronic databases as well as special health topic collections and links to carefully evaluated clinical and educational tools. While ADL membership does not provide full access to all UNC-based electronic resources, it does include:

5+ clinical and research databases (including MEDLINE, ACP Journal Club & other EBM Reviews)
900+ full-text journals (including JAMA, New England Journal of Medicine & BMJ)
60+ full-text books (including Harrison's Internal Medicine, ACP PIER & AACN Essentials to Critical Care Nursing)

The ADL also offers patient education materials, links to CE/CME, evidence-based medicine tools, pda resources and other clinical and teaching tools.

By choosing ADL enrollment as a benefit of membership, $150 of your total donation to the Health Sciences Library is not tax deductible.

To subscribe, complete the Friends membership form or email: hslfriends@unc.edu.
