INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING LOANSOME DOCWHAT IS LOANSOME DOC?Loansome Doc is a document ordering service linked to Pub Med, the system for searching databases such as MEDLINE at the National Library of Medicine. Users can select journal citations retrieved during a literature search and order the full-text articles using the Loansome Doc feature of either system. The requests will then be routed through NLM to a local library, such as the Health Sciences Library at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The library will respond to the requests by either filling them locally or referring them to another library which owns the title. Articles will be sent via email in pdf format to the Loansome Doc user. Please note we reserve the right to limit the number of requests filled to 10 regular requests per day or 5 rush requests. To begin using the Loansome Doc Services of the Health Sciences Library, complete the online agreement form.
