Access Information

On Campus Access

Electronic journals, databases, and books are accessible from on-campus computers, including UNC Hospitals' computers. In most cases, no login is required on-campus.

Off Campus Access

Most electronic journals, databases, and books are accessible off-campus to students, faculty, and staff. Links to licensed resources on library pages will required entry of your ID information when you connect from off campus:

• Students, faculty, staff use ONYEN and Password
  • Manage Onyen
• AHEC users affiliated with UNC-Chapel Hill use AHEC Digital Library account.
  • Manage AHEC account
• UNC Hospital staff use their PID# and registered email address
  • Look up PID#
  • Check / change registered email address
    1. Log in to My Library (use the "Don't have an ONYEN" link if you do not have an ONYEN).
    2. Select the Manage Email button (opens in a pop-up window).
    3. Update your email address as necessary. Be sure to select the Submit button.

Create links to items licensed by UNC Libraries

Links to Library subscription database articles not working? If off campus, try adding the following to the front of the URL:
http://libproxy.lib.unc.edu/login?url=
