  • MEDLINE Database on Tap
    MEDLINE Database on Tap is an application for PDAs that retrieves MEDLINE citations directly from the PDA through a wireless connection to the Internet. Features include subject clusters, query history, MEDLINE search limits, save citations to PDA and more.

  • NLM Mobile

Drug Information

  • ePocrates
    This popular free drug reference program provides regularly updated information on commonly prescribed medications including adult and pediatric dosing, drug interactions, adverse reactions, cost/packaging, regimens and tables, and formularies. Supplementary products are available for purchase.

  • MICROMEDEX
    Thomson Clinical Xpert, the mobile version of Micromedex, is available as a free download to UNC faculty, staff, and students. Thomson Clinical Xpert includes information on drugs, alternative treatments, toxicology, and acute care. Other packages (including a formulary) are available for purchase.   • Lexi-Comp Software
    Various components of the Lexi-Comp drug information package are available for purchase and download to Palm and PocketPC operating systems. Individual databases, such as Lexi-Drugs and Lexi-Natural Products available for a fee. Please note: these are NOT free for UNC faculty, staff, or students.

    This site is non-commercial and although moderated, allows free discussions and exchange of ideas. DocsBoard started off with 4 forums, Handhelds, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Practice Management and Residency Issues on the open part of the website. It has now grown to include forums for discussing Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology which are only accessible to Physicians whose licenses have been verified. Also includes a current news section.

    This site includes news updates relevant to the use of PDA technology. Articles, reviews and tutorials are also available.

  • PalmMed
