Provides a list of topics with links to Web sites evaluated by the National Library of Medicine.

Healthfinder KIDS
Developed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Provides a guide to online publications, clearinghouses, databases, Web sites, and support and self-help groups, as well as government agencies and non-profit organizations that produce reliable information for the public.

KidsHealth
Created by the Nemours Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted to children's health and pediatric care. Contains interactive sections on a variety of health issues, medical conditions, and health-related articles.

Children's Health - NOAH: New York Online Access to Health
Produced by the New York Public Library, the New York Academy of Medicine, and other partners. Provides high quality, full-text health information for consumers. Choose from English or Spanish version.

National Children's Cancer Society
Provides direct financial support to children with cancer and their families and for expenses related to cancer treatment. Includes an extensive list of links to other organizations that supply information and support.

National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (CDC)
Maintained by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in order to promote fetal, infant, and child development; and prevent birth defects and childhood developmental disabilities

National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities
Includes information on disabilities and disability-related issues for families, educators, and other professionals.

Child & Adolescent Mental Health - National Institute of Mental Health
Provides extensive information on an array of mental health topics such as attention deficit hyperactivity, autism, depression, suicide, violence, and eating disorders. Some information is in Spanish.

NORD - National Organization for Rare Disorders
Federation of non-profit voluntary health organizations serving people with rare disorders and disabilities. Includes a searchable Rare Diseases Database, which offers free access to abstracts. Full reports can be ordered for a small charge.

TEACCH - Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communication Handicapped Children
Provides services to autistic individuals and their families throughout North Carolina . Major priorities include centering on the individual, understanding autism, and adopting appropriate adaptations.
