New & Investigational Drugs
The US Food & Drug Administration oversees and certifies trials of new drugs to treat disease or otherwise
improve health. New drugs are always being introduced, while many others may be investigated but never come to
market. Oftentimes patients may be interested in participating in clinical trials of new and investigational medications,
particularly for rare diseases or those for which a standard treatment is not available or has not proved efficaceous.
