Find Full Articles
It is necessary to connect to PubMed from UNC Chapel Hill library webpages or from the School of Dentistry library resources page in order to see the Find @ UNC button in the search results.
The Find @ UNC button links to a page that provides specific information about both electronic and print access to the article through UNC Chapel Hill library journal subscriptions.
The Find @ UNC button is not displayed in the default Summary display. You must change the display to Abstract, AbstractPlus or Citation in order to see the Find @ UNC button.
In Abstract or Citation Display the Find@UNC button is at the top of the PubMed record above the article title.

In AbstractPlus Display the Find @ UNC button is at the lower left of the PubMed record under the abstract.

Click on the Find @ UNC button to find out what access to the article is available.
On the Finad @ UNC information page, click on the Article link to get to the article online. If you are off campus you will be asked to enter your ONYEN and password.

Not every journal is available online, however, the library will often have a print copy. Click on the Search for this item in print link to search for this journal title in the libraries online catalog.

From the catalog record you can see that the library has received v.33, no.1. You are looking for volume 32. If you click on the Latest Received link you can find out if v.32 has been bound. Journals that are not yet bound are found on the 4th floor on either side of the study area across from the elevator. If you were looking for an older journal you can see the specific volumes that the library owns by clicking the Check Availability link.

Journals in the Health Sciences Library are shelved alphabetically by title in the following locations:
| Older journals pre-1990 |
Basement - HSL |
| Newer bound journals, 1990- |
Fourth (4th) Floor - HSL |
Current journals that are not yet bound into a multi issue volume are on the fourth floor alphabetically by title on both sides of the study area directly across from the elevator.
Request a photocopy through Interlibrary Loan (ILL) when no UNC - Chapel Hill library owns the journal you need. A $5 fee for this service is billed after you receive the article. Find the link to the ILL form on the HSL homepage under Services.
