PubMed Links

We are able to link directly to some, but not all, HSL electronic library subscriptions in PubMed.

	Abstract or Citation Display: Full Text link is at the top of records.
	AbstractPlus Display: Full Text link is at the far right of records.

Click on the UNC Full Text Online icon link to go to the article.

Access is through Health Sciences Library subscriptions. You should not be asked for a user name and password, or to pay a fee. If you are, contact the library.

Journal Title from Abbreviations

Find the complete journal title before searching UNC-CH Libraries Catalog.

	Display the complete journal title by holding the mouse over the abbreviated journal title in Abstract, AbstractPlus or Citation Display.
	Complete journal titles can also be found using PubMed's Journals Database.

Catalog Search

Search the Catalog for electronic or print subscriptions when there is no linked full-text in PubMed.

First try an E-Journals search, then try a Journal Title search.
Use the complete journal title, not the abbreviation.

When you find a print subscription, click "Check Availability " to see if the library has the year and volume that you need.

Interlibrary Loan

Request a photocopy through Interlibrary Loan when no UNC - Chapel Hill library owns the journal you need. A $5 fee for this service is billed after you receive the article.
