Secondary Data Collection

The Central and East Durham AOCD teams collaborated with the North Durham AOCD team to complete the secondary data analysis in October 2000. After identification of major topic areas, listed in Table 1, each team collected and assembled a summary document of their assigned topics. All teams utilized focused library searches, historical documents, media reports, and government publications to research topic areas.

The Central and East Durham AOCD teams evaluated the summarized secondary data collection for common themes, incomplete or non-current information, and significance on issues surrounding homelessness. This analysis informed the next data collection process, the service provider interviews.
