Madre: Aló!

Consejero: Um, hello Mrs. Garcia? (Um, aló Señora Garcia?)

Madre: Si? (en un íngles básico) Eh, yes I am Mrs. Garcia. (Eh, Si yo soy Señora Garcia.)

Consejero: This is Mr. Thomas the counselor from your son's school. (Soy Señor Thomas el consejero de la escuela de su hijo.)

Madre: Oh yes, yes. (oh si, si)

Consejero: I'm just calling to remind you that next Wednesday we will be holding parent's night at the school so that you can talk to Pedro's teachers to see how he is doing in school. (Solo estoy llamando para acordarle que el próximo miércoles vamos a tener una noche para los padres aquí en la escuela donde tendrán Ud. y su esposo la oportunidad de hablar con los maestros de Pedro para ver como le va en la escuela.)

Madre: Oh yes, yes. (Oh si, si)

Consejero: Will you be able to come next Wed. at 7:00PM? (Va a poder venir el próximo miércoles a las 7:00 PM?)

Madre: Oh yes, ok yes. (oh si, si)

Consejero: Great! I'll see you there. Bye. (Que bueno! Nos vemos allí. Adios.)

Madre: Ok, bye. (ok, adios)

Esposo: Who was that honey? (Quién llamó querida?)

Madre: I think somebody from Pedro's school, I didn't really understand them. I think he said something about Pedro having to stay later with his teacher on Wed. (Yo creo que fue alguién de la escuela de Pedro pero no le entendí bien. Yo creo que dijó algo sobre que Pedro tiene que quedarse tarde con el maestro el próximo miércoles.)

Esposo: Don't worry about it. They probably just want to give him some extra work or something. ( No te preocupes. Probablemente solo quieren darle un poco más práctica con la tarea o algo asi.)

Madre: Ok, maybe so. (Bueno, tal vez es algo asi)
