A29: Donation Request Letter English Version

Dear Sir or Madam,

A team of graduate students from the School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill is conducting a project in Fuquay-Varina to learn about the strengths and challenges present in the Latino community. They have been interviewing a number of service providers and community members in Fuquay-Varina to learn about what life is like in Fuquay-Varina, particularly for the Latino population. On Sunday, April 28th, from 2-4pm, the students, in partnership with a planning committee of community members and service providers called "Uniting Communities Toward Change," will be presenting the information gathered through interviews at a community-wide forum. Many community members as well as community agencies have been invited to the forum to discuss the issues that have come up. We hope that priorities for change will be set and that groups will determine action steps to begin working on solutions.

In order to attract people to the forum, we would like to offer refreshments from local restaurants as well as door prizes. Your donation of food, drink or other prize items to this forum would help to create a pleasant atmosphere for an event that will bring various groups together to discuss issues in Fuquay-Varina. Your contribution demonstrates your commitment to supporting the people of Fuquay-Varina. Your donation is tax deductible. Also, if you choose to make a donation, your business name will be listed on the forum agenda in recognition of your generosity.

Sincerely,

Lynn Osterberg
