This community diagnosis would not have been possible without the support and help of a number of people. First, we would like to thank our team Preceptor, Yvonne "La Maestra" J. Torres, who provided important guidance at crucial moments throughout the diagnosis. We would also like to thank the dedicated members of the Planning Committee, Unificando Comunidades Hacia el Cambio, especially Richard "Ricardo" Flaherty, Leonardo Galvan, Nancy Hagan, Fernando Lara, Alfredo Rodriguez, and Ms. Betty Rush for their continued attendance. Thanks also go out to Rosena West, Director of the Southern Regional Center (SRC), who graciously arranged for our planning committee meetings to take place at SRC and has made the Center available for future meetings. John Byrne, Mayor of Fuquay-Varina, was integral as a facilitator and consultant. Lastly, we thank Macy Jones, Director of the Early Learning Center, for her willingness to have the Community Forum at the Center. We hope that the forum served as a catalyst for Latino children to enroll in the subsidized program.
