Please follow the procedures, outlined below, to ensure proper and ongoing use of the Studio. The Library reserves the right to rescind Studio privileges given just cause. 1. Optional: Reserve a Media Design Studio computer. To reserve a Media Design Studio computer, complete the online Room Reservation form. This step is recommended to ensure a computer will be available when you arrive, but it is not required.
3. Work in the Media Design Studio. Once you have a key, you are free to use any of the available computers and software in the Media Design Studio. Saving your work: Bring a flashdrive or disk with you to save your work. For your convenience, you may save your files temporarily in the MyDocuments folder on the hard drive, but files in that directory are periodically deleted. HSL is not responsible for the security of any files that you create. Getting Help: If you have difficulties, please contact us via the online problem reporting form. If a specialist is available, we will try to resolve your problem or answer your question. (Note: User Services desk staff do not support the Media Design Studios). For help learning software applications, we strongly recommend that you request a consultation or attend a class.
Finishing your work: When you are finished, be sure to save your work on removable media and exit the programs you are using. 4. Return the key. Return the key to the User Services desk staff on the first floor when you are through. 5. Give us your feedback! We may contact you to ask you about your use of the Media Design Studio.
