LINC (Log Into North Carolina)
An excellent starting place for statistical information pertaining to North Carolina. LINC (Log Into North Carolina) is a service of the North Carolina State Data Center. It is "the most valuable Web resource for NC statistical data." Features: Over 1300 data items from state and federal agencies; Historical data and projections, 1960s to 2030; State, county, municipality, township, tract, block group, and block coverage; Definitions and help screens; Customized report capabilities; Preformatted topic reports, including census profiles; Continual updates incorporating newly released data. LINC provides statistics in these broad areas: Population and Housing; Vital Statistics and Health; Social and Human Services; Law Enforcement, Courts, and Corrections; Environment, Recreation, and Resources; Energy and Utilities; Government; Employment and Income; Business and Industry; Agriculture; Transportation. North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics
A central collection site for statistics on births, deaths, marriages, divorces, cancer and birth defects. Survey results from BRFSS, CHAMP, and PRAMS, as well as their questionnaires, are also available.

N.C. Communicable Disease Information
Data on reported communicable disease cases by disease and county.
North Carolina Health Professions Data System
Collects and disseminates timely and reliable data on selected licensed health professionals in North Carolina. The data includes contact, educational and practice information.
North Carolina Rural Health Research Program Cartographic Archive
For rural parts of North Carolina and the United States, provides maps of demographics, health status indicators, health care providers and health related services.
Region IV Network for Data Management and Utilization (RNDMU)
Focuses on women and infant indicators for planning and assessment.
statehealthfacts.org (North Carolina profle)
A project of the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation that provides data on more than 500 health topics for all 50 states. Includes a raw data download tool.
North Carolina State Demographics
Provides population estimates and projections on state and county level with some municipal coverage. Data on Hispanic populations from 1990 to 2000 is also provided.
