Dean Edward G. McGavran and School of Public Health faculty, 1950's

By 1940, an independently-administered School of Public Health under Dean Edward G. McGavran began offering graduate degrees in Sanitary Engineering, Epidemiology, Parasitology, Public Health Administration, Public Health Nursing, Biostatistics, and Maternal-Child Health. A new Public Health building was completed in 1962.
