Zachary Long Collection

Zachary Filmore Long, Jr. (1943-1991) was born in Charlotte, North Carolina. The son of a doctor, he served in the Army during the 1960s and earned an MBA from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1970. After moving to San Francisco, he became an AIDS activist. He served on the boards of the AIDS Emergency Fund, the Larkin Street Yourth Center, and volunteered with the San Francisco Opera and Symphony.
